What is the difference between the APTAnj and the
New Jersey State Board of Physical Therapy???

 

The American Physical Therapy Association of New Jersey (APTAnj) located in Robbinsville, NJ, is a chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) with headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia. The APTAnj is a not-for-profit professional organization representing physical therapists and physical therapist assistants, as well as students in accredited PT and PTA programs. The President of the APTAnj is Richard Stoneking, PT.

Licensure and examination of the profession of physical therapy is regulated by the New Jersey State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners (NJSBPTE). The NJSBPTE tests individuals for licensure, grants licenses, and can revoke licenses.
