NEWS RE: NATIONAL GOVERNMENT SERVICES
New Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) E-mail Address
Starting the week of April 14, 2008, National Government Services Medicare Part B providers who sent e-mails to “NGS.EDI.B@anthem.com” may have experienced receiving a message back stating that message was undeliverable. National Government Services experienced technical issues with that mailbox. To resolve these technical issues, National Government Services EDI Department had to create a new mailbox for both the Medicare Part A and Medicare Part B providers to send their EDI-related inquiries.

ATTENTION Skilled Nursing Facility Providers
National Government Services (NGS) has scheduled a teleconference covering clinical aspects of the SNF Part A benefit. A discussion will center on basic coverage criteria, medical necessity, clinical documentation and common claims denial reasons. The teleconference will be held on April 23,2008 via a morning or afternoon session. Providers can sign-up for the call through the following website.
