Ethics and New Jersey Jurisprudence

 
Dennise Krencicki, PT, DPT, MA is an Assistant Professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program jointly sponsored by the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and Rutgers University - the Graduate School, Camden, and teaches in the area of Professional Issues. Denny has been an active member for the New Jersey Chapter, serving in various capacities, including Chapter President, Chief Delegate, Chairperson of the Chapter Ethics Committee and is presently serving as a NJ Delegate to the APTA House of Delegates. She is a current physical therapist member of the New Jersey State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.

Karen E. Wilk, PT, DPT is Administrative Director of Rehabilitation Medicine at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center. Karen earned her BS in Health Science and Master of Physical Therapy from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science and her DPT from UMDNJ. She has been a member of the NJ State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners since 2001, served as Secretary from 2005 to 2008, and currently serves as Chair.
 
Incorporate Body Based Movement Methods to Enhance Your Physical Therapy Practice
 
Donna Panarello, PT graduated from Hunter College Physical Therapy Program and from Pace University Master Program in Public Administration Health Care Track.  Four years into her career as a physical therapist she injured her back, which brought her to study complimentary and alternative care.  She became certified in the Feldenkrais Method® of movement education, studied meditation for Health Care Professionals at Omega and in Switzerland.  She furthered her education in complimentary practices to become certified in natural healing with qigong, the Anat Baniel Method®  for children and Cardiac Yoga.® She has a private practice working with children and adults.
 
Kinesiotaping as an Adjunct to Pediatric Therapy
 
Jacqueline Grimenstein, PT received her bachelor's degree in physical therapy from the University of Pittsburgh in 1974. She presents continuing education courses on Therapeutic Taping in Pediatrics and Functional Exercise and Strengthening for the Child with Neurological Impairments, both nationally and internationally. She is a member of the APTA and NDTA where she is a PT instructor candidate. She has practiced in a wide variety of settings including over 30 years within school settings. She is currently the Director of Outpatient Services at Weisman Children's Rehabilitation Hospital in Marlton, NJ.
 
Identification and Treatment of Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV)
 
Jennifer Paventi Legendre, PT, OCS is a Senior Physical Therapist in the Outpatient Physical Therapy Department at JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute, Edison, NJ. Mrs. Legendre received her B.S. in PT from the SUNY Health Science Center in Brooklyn in 1997. Currently, she specializes in the treatment of vestibular and orthopedic disorders and has presented numerous in-services in these areas. In June 2009 she was certified as a Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy by the ABPTS. Jennifer has worked in conjunction with neurologists in the Balance Clinic in the New Jersey Neuroscience Institute at JFK Medical Center, Edison, NJ, and has also participated in a research study related to the treatment of BPPV. She has presented at several multidisciplinary conferences on the evaluation and treatment of vestibular disorders. Over the past 12 years, she has clinically practiced in home care, sub-acute rehab, acute care, and outpatient rehab. She is an IWA certified weight trainer and past Central District secretary of the APTAnj.

Arlen Razon Ray, PT is a Physical Therapy Supervisor in the Outpatient Physical Therapy Department at JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute in Edison, NJ. Arlen received her B.S. in Physical Therapy from New York University in 1997 and received her Vestibular Rehabilitation Competency in 2003. In addition to her role as a physical therapy supervisor, Ms Ray provides outpatient physical therapy services for patients with various diagnoses. She has had a primary role in evaluating patients in conjunction with neurologists in the Balance Clinic at the New Jersey Neuroscience Institute at JFK Medical Center, Edison, NJ. She has also participated in a research study related to the treatment of BPPV. Ms. Ray has presented multiple vestibular rehabilitation in-services for therapists and rehabilitation medicine residents. She has developed a vestibular practicum and presented at several multidisciplinary conferences on vestibular evaluation and treatment. Over the past 11 years, she has clinically practiced in inpatient rehabilitation, sub-acute rehabilitation for patients with head injuries, acute care, homecare, day rehabilitation and outpatient rehabilitation.
